1. Who we are
ShipmentChecker is operated by MAIN ROAD CENTURION 30342 (PTY) LTD, 5 Vredenburg Building, Main Road, Irene, 0062, South Africa ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
2. The service
ShipmentChecker compares information across the shipment documents you supply. Supported document types include Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills and Certificates of Origin. ShipmentChecker reports where supplied information agrees, differs, is missing, or needs review by a person.
ShipmentChecker is a pre-shipment document review aid. It is not a customs filing service, customs broker, freight forwarder, legal or compliance certification service, and it does not guarantee acceptance of documents by customs authorities, banks, carriers or other parties. You remain responsible for the accuracy of documents you submit to third parties.
We retain all ownership of and intellectual property rights in the service, including its software, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your selected plan; you may not resell, redistribute or reverse engineer it.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration details, keep your password confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for use by you or your organisation, not for resale.
4. Plans, allowances and billing
The Free plan includes 3 completed document checks and 1 professional report download in total. Pro costs $49 USD per month (or $529.20 USD per year) and includes 100 completed checks per billing month with unlimited report downloads. Pro+ costs $149 USD per month (or $1,609.20 USD per year) and includes unlimited checks and report downloads. Prices are quoted in USD; you may be charged an equivalent amount in your local currency, plus applicable taxes. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Only successfully completed checks consume an allowance.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. We never receive or store your card number or security code.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep access to the service for the period you have paid for, and no further renewal payment will be taken, after which your account returns to the Free plan.
Refunds are handled entirely by our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Refund requests may be submitted within 14 days of the transaction date; refund eligibility and processing are handled in accordance with Paddle's Refund Policy and applicable consumer law. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Your documents
You keep all rights in the documents you upload. You grant us permission to store and process them solely to provide the service to you. You confirm you are entitled to upload the documents and that doing so does not breach any confidentiality obligation or law.
7. Acceptable use
You may not attempt to access another customer's data, disrupt or reverse engineer the service, upload malicious files, or use the service for unlawful purposes, including sanctions evasion or trade-document fraud.
8. Availability and liability
The service is provided on an "as is" basis and we do not warrant uninterrupted availability or that every discrepancy in a document will be detected. A REVIEW result means information could not be confirmed automatically and should be checked by a person; it does not mean ShipmentChecker has confirmed an error. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect losses such as customs penalties, demurrage, or lost profit.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will publish the revised version on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
11. Contact
